For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
1 Corinthians 1:21
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? AS it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!"
Romans 10:14-15
Preaching is absolutely necessary for men to be saved. God has ordained the means of preaching to see people come to know Him. He may use non-ordinary means, such as the case with the Apostle Paul (Acts 9). But in most instances, He uses the ordinary means of preaching to reach those that belong to Him. That is why it is most necessary to preach the word of God faithfully.
Here at Grace Presbyterian Church of Aiken, we are committed to expository preaching of God's word. This means that we are committed to preaching the whole counsel of God's word in a way that is understood by all, and consistent with the teachings of Scripture.
